Del caso Honduras se derivan varias lecciones que debemos resaltar. Ante nuestros atónitos ojos se levanta un pequeño país que se niega a entregar su dignidad y su soberanía y recibe a cambio condenas internacionales, congelación de sus bienes y ultimátum que ofenden su independencia como nación. Y uno se pregunta qué derecho asiste a la OEA, desacreditada y maltrecha como está por traspiés continuados y una dirección acomodaticia, para acosar a un país que aplica su Constitución cuando acaba de recibir en su seno a otro que lleva 50 años tiranizando a su pueblo?
La OEA se ha colocado del lado de los forajidos del continente, de los que diseñan toda una arquitectura legal, divorciada del espíritu de sus Constituciones, para criminalizar a la disidencia, confiscar la voluntad popular a través del fraude electoral y desvirtuar su manifestación cuando pisan sobre lo votado para restar poder a los legítimos o imponer lo rechazado. Esto ocurre en las narices de la OEA y de sus miembros, hoy por hoy más representantes de sus cúpulas sordas y ajenas que de sus pueblos y sus democracias.
La OEA, el FMI, el BM y todos aquellos que hoy se agavillan para protagonizar esta obscena cayapa representan la más acabada de las formas de intervencionismo, ilegitimo y descarado contra una nación que resolvió hacer valer su legalidad, aunque quien la violentara fuera el propio Presidente de la República. Insólito asistir a esta tragedia que pone de relieve el hecho de que siendo, lastimosamente por la parte que nos toca, el único país que se ha atrevido a poner en riesgo su frágil existencia con tal de no aceptar colonialismos de vetustas y fracasadas ideologías, reciba semejante trato de lo que cada vez suena más irónico llamar “comunidad internacional”. Resulta que todo aquello por lo cual dice quebrar lanzas esa diplomacia de papel, tiene ahora escena y práctica en Honduras, pero la reacción en su contra prueba la urgencia de revisar esas burocracias inoperantes, verdaderos paquidermos destroza-vitrinas que, como la OEA, consumen chorros de dólares sin producir una sola gratificación a la única instancia a la cual se deben: las democracias americanas.
Los hondureños están haciendo las cosas “by their book”, el único manual que deben observar. Ningún organismo internacional puede pretender colocarse por encima de las Constituciones de cada país. Es obvio que si los hondureños no se lo permitieron a su Presidente, menos se lo permitirán a una cofradía de ellos desesperados por curase en salud: a simple vista se nota que cada uno se retrata en Zelaya, deseosos como están de mantenerse el poder, idear manera de cambiar sus Constituciones para garantizarlo y restringir convenientemente la vigilancia sobre sus gestiones.
La firmeza y unicidad con que han actuado los hondureños indica una madurez democrática e institucional que da envidia. Los poderes funcionaron y Monsieur Montesquieu debe estar muy satisfecho, dondequiera que se encuentre. Revela igualmente que pensaron mucho el paso que darían, sopesaron las consecuencias y resolvieron enfrentarlas. El respaldo popular que indudablemente se aprecia a través de los reportajes, da cuenta de que están más allá del punto de no retorno. No retornará Zelaya como no volverán sobre sus pasos quienes han tenido el coraje de conducir este episodio soberano de la historia hondureña. Si recularon, pero los facinerosos, quienes a pesar de la complicidad de la OEA, arrugaron, no van a Honduras. No va Zelaya, ni Correa, ni la Kirshner. Ella iba por hacerle el favor a un Chávez que, una vez más, mató al tigre y se asustó con las rayas. Ese pequeño país le está ganando la partida a la chequera imperialista, hegemónica y oligarca del autócrata venezolano, que ya ha cobrado la estima de varios gobiernos muy arrellanados en las butacas de la OEA. El coraje de Honduras es el espejo de la desfachatez de la OEA, el descrédito de la erudición de tanto analista internacional, de la condición de demócratas de tanto jefe de Estado con rodillas flácidas, de tanto “imperio” hecho de plastilina y, sin duda, de tanto medio de comunicación que a la hora de las chiquitas le falta tinta y batería para denunciar la satrapía y defender al libertad que tanto cacarean cuando la mar no está picada.
La institucionalidad hondureña está tan armada como la revolución de Chávez, pero con los cañones de sus leyes. Sin disparar un tiro, sin que Zelaya presente ni un moretón, han salido de él, los militares regresaron a sus cuarteles y la civilidad conduce a Honduras a unas elecciones de las cuales saldrá el gobernante que regirá un destino que cualquier otro, de seguro, pensara dos veces el aventurarse a torcer.

From the Honduras´ case there are several lessons that we must highlight. Right before our astonished eyes there´s a little country that refuses to surrender its dignity & sovereignity rising up, & receives in exchange international condemnation, freezing of its assets & an ultimatum that offends its independence as a nation. And one keeps wondering which right assists the OAS, as battered & discredited as it is due to its frequent stumbling & accommodative direction, to harass a country that is applying its Constitution when that same organization has just received in another country that for 50 years has been tyrannizing its own people?
The OAS has put itself on the side of the continent´s bandits, the ones that design a whole legal architecture, divorced from the spirit of its Constitutions, to criminalize the dissidents, to confiscate the people´s will through electoral fraud & to undermine its expression when they step over what was voted to diminish power from the legitimate or to impose what has been rejected. This occurs in OAS & its members´ noses, these days representing more their deaf and absent elites than their people & democracies.
The OAS, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank & all those who today group together for starring this obscene mouth-shutting action, represent the most sophisticated form of interventionism, illegitimate & blatant against a nation that decided to make its legality count, even being the President of the Republic himself the one who was violating it. Its unusual to attend to this tragedy that points clearly the fact that being the sole country, sadly on the part that we´re suppose to carry, that has dared to put on risk its frail existence in exchange for not accepting colonialisms from outdated and failed ideologies, gets such a treatment from what each time sounds more ironic to be called “international community”. It turns out that everything for what that paper diplomacy says you are supposed to fight for, now is staged and acted in Honduras, but the reaction against that country is a proof of the urgency for reviewing this dysfunctional bureaucracies, real showcase-shredding pachyderms that, like the OAS, consume jets of dollars without producing one single gratification for the only instance to whom they are entitled to: the American democracies.
Hondurans are doing the things going “by their book”, the only manual they should observe. No international organism can pretend to place itself above the Constitutions of every country. It is obvious that if Honduras do not let their President to do so, less they will allow a brotherhood of them desperately trying to cure themselves before the illness strikes: it is easily seen that each one of them portraits themselves in Zelaya, eager as they are to stay in power, figuring out ways to change their Constitutions to ensure their goal and restrict conveniently the monitoring actions over their efforts.
The firmness & unicity with which Hondurans have acted indicates a democratic & institutional maturity that makes anyone envious. The constitutional powers worked properly, & Monsieur Montesquieu should be very satisfied wherever he should be. It shows equally that they thought for a long time the step they would take, weighted the consequences and decided to face them. The backing of these measures by the people that can be undoubtedly appreciated through the news, indicates that they have surpassed the point of no return. Zelaya will not come back, neither will the ones that have had the courage to conduct this sovereign episode of Honduran history will walk back over their steps. There was some back stepping, yes, but it was done by the thugs who even with OAS´s complicity were scared: they are not going to Honduras. Zelaya is not going, neither Correa, neither Mrs. Kirshner. She was going to do it as a favor to a Chavez that, once again, killed the tiger and got scared with its stripes. That little country is winning the game to the imperialistic, hegemonic and oligarchic checkbook of the Venezuelan autocrat, which has already collected the sympathy of various governments installed very cozily in OAS´s chairs. Honduras´ courage is the mirror for OAS´s impudence, the discredit of so many international analyst´s erudition, of the democratic vocation of so many heads of states with flaccid knees, of so many “empires” made of plasticine and, without any doubt, of the many mass media that when tough times come lacks the ink and energy needed to denounce satrapy and to defend the freedom that they so cackle about when the seas are not rough.
Honduran institutionalism is as armed as Chavez´s revolution, but with the cannons of its laws. Without shooting a single shot, with Zelaya showing not even a bruise, they got rid of him, the military have now come back to their barracks and the civilians lead Honduras to elections, from which the ruler that will lead a destiny that any other one, for sure, will think twice before venturing to bend it will come out.
